BA-MARC Meeting Notes – May 13th, 2001

Meeting was held at the Lyons Restaurant in Fremont (Really: Newark) Meeting started late, as (rare) participants were waiting for more important personalities to show-up (see below).

Present were:
Frank KG6ELK "boxed", as he carried a lot of material.
Dan   K6DLC, on his Honda 1100
Sam   AD6MZ, on a beautiful blue Valkyrie
J.P.  NQ6T, on his old BMW, aaAAND....
Warren K6PHW, on a brand-new ..RED.. 1800! (Take that, DeWitt)

The first order of business was to decide what to do, in the absence of our most common leaders: decision was made to blame them for everything, from price of gas, to power outages, and to have a good time anyway, and this was adhered to.

The second item, this time serious, was Dan Curry wanting us to help on the Sequoia High School ride. This should be brought up at the next meeting, for decisions, planning, etc.  We just thought we were not enough people present to really address this item.

The third item was the announcement that Frank is now a General Class Operator: Congratulations, Frank!

Finally, we would like Roger (or Larry) to re-post time and address (a reminder) for next week's "official" meeting, to avoid any possible confusion. I think Larry did an excellent job at advertising it so far, but a last reminder after this week's meeting cannot hurt.  Warren, among others, doesn't have the meeting address.

The rest of the meeting went discussing personal items, past lives, current jobs, future dreams, and, before we knew it, it was 2:30 and time to go our separate ways.

73s,
J.P. Rouland
NQ6T
